Last Friday, August 23rd, Punta de Mita experienced a historic moment with the official inauguration of the PEACE Community Center. This new space, which has been awaited with great anticipation, is now ready to open its doors and begin to make a significant difference in the life of the community.

The PEACE Community Center is not just a building; it is a beacon of hope and a symbol of the opportunities being created for everyone in Punta de Mita. Through this center, PEACE is committed to offering a variety of programs designed to foster leadership, self-confidence, and community pride among youth and adults alike. In addition, English and computer classes will be offered, along with other activities that seek to positively impact the lives of the participants and, thus, the community at large.

The inauguration of the center also coincided with the beginning of an exciting collaboration with Tec de Monterrey through the Prepanet program (which was born in 2004 as a social program offering an online program with high academic quality). It has officially begun; it has aroused great interest among high school students in our communities, who have responded to the call to participate. The applications and essays they received reflect the dreams and aspirations of young people, from future pilots to entrepreneurs who want to make a difference in their communities.

The admissions process for the Prepanet program was comprehensive, considering not only academic performance, but also the applicants' personal experiences and community involvement. At PEACE, they have strived to ensure an inclusive and fair admissions process that values the unique potential of each beneficiary.

The opening of the PEACE community center is a testament to the collective effort of many friends and donors. This center will not only be a place of learning, but also a space where youth can participate in elective courses such as Digital Arts, and extracurricular activities such as community service and sports...
