There are destinations you visit, and there are destinations that, in some way, you also get to live in and feel a sense of belonging to.
Riviera Nayarit is known for its beaches, landscapes, gastronomy, and the opportunity to disconnect while surrounded by nature. But behind every stay, every meal, every event, and every experience, there is something deeper: a community that works every day to grow, and a support network that, in many ways, also stems from tourism and helps ensure that this growth reaches those who call this region home.
That is why visiting Riviera Nayarit can mean much more than simply enjoying a destination. It can become a way to travel with purpose.
In the communities that are part of Riviera Nayarit, different foundations and organizations work every day in areas such as education, healthcare, community development, animal welfare, and conservation. Many of these initiatives are made possible through the support of residents, visitors, businesses, hotels, restaurants, developers, and other organizations that, through donations, events, campaigns, and partnerships, help ensure these programs can continue reaching those who need them.
In this way, a visit to the destination can become part of something much bigger.

PEACE Punta de Mita: Creating Opportunities Within the Community
When it comes to education, healthcare, and community well-being, PEACE Punta de Mita has been a key part of Riviera Nayarit, creating opportunities and providing support to children, young people, and families throughout the region. Since 2013, its work has been made possible through the support of generous contributors and organizations that believe in the well-being of local communities. Through programs such as Campeones, Keep Going, Click On, and many others, PEACE promotes education and the development of young people from communities such as Higuera Blanca, Corral del Risco, and Emiliano Zapata, bringing them closer to new opportunities for their future. Because behind every program are people, families, and dreams that can change when someone chooses to help.

Fundación Punta de Mita: Supporting the Development of the Region
Since 2007, Fundación Punta de Mita has worked closely with the communities of Bahía de Banderas, supporting different projects that seek to improve the quality of life of those who live in the region. Its work covers many areas, from nutrition, vision health, and sports programs to vocational workshops, conservation, and community development projects. This variety allows the foundation to respond to different needs and support the community through different moments and stages of life.
But perhaps what makes its work most special is that many of these projects come from listening to the community itself and understanding what is needed. In this way, support becomes tangible action that can be seen and felt in the everyday lives of the people who live here.

Punta Mita Hospital Foundation: Making Medical Care More Accessible
One of the most important needs for a community like Punta de Mita and the surrounding areas is access to healthcare. In some regions of Mexico, receiving specialized care or having the necessary resources for an emergency can be challenging, especially for families who may face difficulties accessing this type of care when they need it most.
This is where Punta Mita Hospital Foundation has made a difference. Through various programs and its Medical Brigades, the foundation has been able to provide healthcare in different specialties, including gynecology, osteoporosis, pediatrics, traumatology, cardiology, psychology, and many more, supporting people who, under certain circumstances, do not have the necessary resources to access these health services. But its work does not end with bringing medical care to those who need it. It also seeks to develop new initiatives, strengthen existing healthcare programs, support medical research, and promote greater health education. All with the same purpose: to give people in the community more opportunities to take care of their health.
