The stylish new bar at Sufi Ocean Club adds even more ways to enjoy a lazy afternoon poolside with an exclusive view of the pier. Sit at the bar or order from your poolside chaise or daybed. The new bar crew proudly serves a creative list of traditional and not-so-traditional margaritas, cocktails and mocktails, and the Sufi Ocean Club menu with a list of daily specials.
Aside from margaritas (including blueberry and passion fruit varieties), two cocktails are new Sufi Bar favorites. The Watermelon Special blends pureed watermelon with silver tequila, a squeeze of lime, and a few drops of Grenadine. Tajin adds a bit of spice/salt flavor to the rim. Also popular is the Tangerine Mezcal, a refreshing cocktail that blends Mezcal with tangerine juice, a splash of Cointreau, and a lime squeeze. Tajin on the rim as well. Bar service is available from 9:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
Whether ordering poolside, at the bar, or at Sufito, the updated Sufi Ocean Club menu includes go-to items like the grilled Waygu Beef Hamburger, Ceviche Sufito, and daily pizza specials. Check the chalkboard or ask your server for these.
On the menu, Garlic Prawns are an appetizer, and a very satisfying portion for lunch. Served in a hot skillet, tender shrimp sizzle in a blend of sliced garlic and little guindilla chilis (pretty spicy, these!). A thick slice of lightly-toasted wheat bread accompanies, soft as a cloud, smeared with garlic aioli, and sprinkled with queso blanco, and fresh parsley. Tear off pieces to dunk in the chili garlic oil, or enjoy by itself. This dish is craveable.
A long-time favorite on the Sufi menu is Taco Gobernador, a larger-sized, tender blue corn tortilla filled with grilled shrimp, sliced red bell peppers, shreds of Mennonite cheese, and wood-fire grilled. It's a luscious bite. The taco is served cut in half if you'd like to share (or not). Micro-greens in a vinaigrette, red beet shreds, and a drizzle of balsamic finish the plate.
Expanding the service at Sufi Ocean Club is a welcome addition to enjoying a lazy afternoon at the new covered bar, at Sufito, and poolside. An exceptional food and beverage menu all day long. Salut!
